Missing normal maps in Clip Studio Modeler

I have a rigged 3d model that I am importing into clip studio modeler to create a "New Character". The normal maps do not show up on it. At the top right of the viewing area for the imported 3d model, there are several options, one of which is "Show / Hide Normals" which is greyed out. When this same FBX is imported directly into CSP, it *does* have its normal maps. In the picture below, the right model is directly imported, and the left model is dropped in from the Materials panel. How can I make the normal maps work in Clip Studio Modeler? Additionally, I have several shapekeys that deform the face into various expressions, but none of them deform the mesh while I'm in CSP Modeler.

Clip Studio Modeler hasn't been updated for quite some time, so it doesn't support normal maps or shape keys.

If you want to make it compatible, please load it directly into CLIP STUDIO PAINT.

However, even if you make it into a material in CLIP STUDIO PAINT, it will be treated as a 3D object.
