Eraser Flicking in Between Brush and Eraser on Wacom Pen

When I go to erase with the eraser end of my Wacom pen 2, it will flick in between the brush which is only supposed to be on the pen nib front, and between the eraser. It is not the pen's problem as I tested it with a new pen, so I am convinced that it is Clip Studio Paint's problem.

This is a new problem and has never occurred before, disrupting my flow of work, please help!

I haven't seen what the "flick" state looks like specifically, so I'm just guessing:

    1.
Open the CSP [File → Modifier Key Settings] dialog and filter by [Pen/Gestures].
Then, select [Eraser] from [Tail Switch → Pulldown → Temporarily Change Tool].
After setting, restart CSP just to be sure.

    2.
Also, try setting the pen tablet driver settings screen or its options so that you cannot click, draw, or perform other operations when the pen is floating above the tablet surface.
Check Wacom's help for instructions on how to do this.
After setting, restart your PC just to be sure.

Please try the above 1 and 2 to see what happens.

I applied the suggestions you made and it doesn't seem to have made an affect. I am just trying to find out where the problem is coming from. I've tried practically all of the settings you can think of and even got a new pen. Is it Clip Studio Paint or my Tablet? I have read online people having similar problems with their wacom tablets, and on other drawing software such as adobe, so I think it might be the tablets.

I can't attach a video, but I will try to explain further. It will randomly stop using pen pressure, and before it switch's it will won't register the previous stroke, and then the next stoke it won't have pressure. For the eraser, it will constantly switch between the pen and the eraser as if trying to decide, and it will eventually land on one or the other, working for a little while only until you release and try to draw again and issue persists.

In other words, are you saying that (1) there is a problem with the pen pressure, and (2) the state of the tool that can be selected with the pen tip flickers and is unstable?

I'm reading a sentence that was automatically translated into Japanese here, so I apologize if I misunderstood the meaning.

I think that if you wrote everything in detail from the beginning without hiding the information, you would have been able to expect answers from various people.

At the beginning, you wrote that you were "sure that it was a CSP problem," but if the pen pressure is strange, I think you should think not only about CSP but also about the pen tablet. (Even if that is not the cause in the end)

    > Is it Clip Studio Paint or the tablet?

I'm not an expert or employee of either, so I have no idea where the cause is or why your pen is like this.

If you don't mind, please try the following.

    3.
    Pen tablet:

    - If you are using a wired connection, unplug the cable and wait a while before reinserting it firmly.

    - If you are using a wireless connection, delete the pairing and pair it again after a while.

    4.
Update Windows and security software, and exclude CSP and pen tablet drivers from security software monitoring. If you do not want to exclude the entire folder, select and exclude the programs individually.

    5.
Please try [File → Adjust Pen Pressure Detection Level] again.
Also, please try setting the pen pressure again on the pen tablet side.
Please try this whenever you feel something is wrong with the pen pressure.
After the operation, please restart CSP just to be sure.

    6.
Switch [Wintab/TabletPC] in [File → Preferences → Tablet].

    7.
Also, try deleting the pen tablet driver and settings and reinstalling the driver.
To delete or restore the settings, you can use [Tablet Settings File Utility (PrefUtil.exe)] if it is in the Wacom installation folder. (Attached image)
In addition to the latest pen tablet driver, try a slightly older one.
I don't know your OS or pen tablet model, but the compatibility between them may be related.
After this, please restart your PC.

    8.
Exit CSP, select only CSP from the [+] on the pen tablet driver settings screen, and try configuring all the necessary settings in that state.
After configuring, please restart/reconnect the pen tablet just to be safe.

    9.
If you have backed up the pen tablet driver settings as a file before the problem occurred, try restoring them and see what happens.
