Error: "Cannot use this command on this device error" when trying to move user data folder

THE PROBLEM:
I only have a finite amount of space on my OS drive and need to change my default user data folder so that it's saving to the drive that I normally do most of my actual work on and not to the appdata subfolder on my C drive. Since most of my drawings are over at least 0.25GB and I do a new one each day, I'm rapidly running out of space and have to jump through hoops trying to resave and delete every project that I work on when I start from another device and pull down from the cloud.

I see that there's the option to move the default folder, which would solve the problem, but it errors every time I try to use it and just says "You cannot use this command on this device." Which stops me dead in my tracks.

STEPS TAKEN TO PRODUCE THE ERROR:
In Clip Studio, attempt to change user data folder settings by doing the following:

Settings > Maintenance Menu > Move user data folder.

I then get the following error prompt: "You cannot use this command on this device."

ACTIONS ALREADY ATTEMPTED:
I have administrative privileges on my machine and also using the "run as administrator" command when opening clip studio doesn't seem to work. I can't find any information about this anywhere and it seems like an issue that many people using the cloud would encounter.

ENVIRONMENT:
OS: Windows 11 pro
CSP: Clip Studio v3.1.2

Basically, it is safe to move other data that can be moved to another drive and leave the user data folder as it is.

The reason why the .clip file is large is because the "Record time lapse" option is not checked.

Please check from the File menu → Time lapse. If you do not need it, you can reduce the size significantly by unchecking it.

The user data folder cannot be moved.
This command is for changing from the old specifications (where the user data folder is generated in My Documents) to the current specifications.
Only material folders can be moved to any location.

It's my first time using these forums, so please bear with me if there's a better way to tag people or respond to individual comments. Thanks to everyone who took time out to respond and help me sort this out.

    RESPONSE TO FIRST COMMENTER: 恵方満貫
    - I'm aware that you can move the other data, but there's an option to move user data which doesn't work and gives the error above. I'm just trying to understand why that option/error exists and make sure I'm not overlooking something.
    - Thanks for providing a solution to lower the size of files, but I'm not currently using time lapse, I just create very high resolution paintings with many layers that end up having huge file-sizes. PSD's duplicate saves are typically around the same size or larger.

    RESPONSE TO SECOND COMMENTER: 綺紗(Kisa)
    - So if I'm reading that right, the "Move user data folder" option under Settings > Maintenance Menu is a relic from a past version of Clip Studio and ties back to the pre-Windows Vista days when system user data was stored in my documents rather than a centralized "users/appdata" folder?
-- When looking at the structuring for the Document Download directory, I guess I can see why they wouldn't want to change the default root for that.

PLEA TO CLIP STUDIO DEVS: (if you're listening)
    - Every time I begin work on a mobile device and try to transfer it to my computer through the cloud, I have to follow this 7-step process:
-- Download the project from the cloud
-- Open it in clip studio paint
-- Save a duplicate in the directory where I actually store my projects
-- Make sure to retitle the duplicate to something slightly different from the original in order to avoid confusion
-- Go back to clip studio project manager
-- Sync the duplicate to the cloud
-- Delete the original from the computer (appdata folder)
-- Delete the original from the cloud

    - I have roughly 90 older projects that I need to do this with in order to archive and there is seemingly no way to streamline the process. This will require several hours/afternoons that I'd like to instead spend creating art in you're wonderful software.

    SUGGESTED SOLUTION:
    - Since the option to save a duplicate and have it sync to the cloud already exists, why not just have an option somewhere that when enabled, allows clip studio to prompt the user to select an install path when downloading from the cloud?

    - I'm not an expert on clip studio, but it seems like It could maybe flow like this:
-- User goes to Settings > Maintenance Menu > Custom user data directory: [ /your/directory/here]
    -- User enters custom directory
-- Clip Studio sees that Custom user data directory != null
-- User starts action to download a project from the cloud
-- Clip studio prompts user: "Store project in: [ o ] default user data directory [ ] custom user data directory"
-- User selects custom user data directory
-- Clip Studio automatically "saves a duplicate" in the custom user directory and keeps a second temp version in the default directory where it can keep track of versioning info and other temp data.
-- Only the "duplicate" is referenced in the local projects interface
-- The temp version is synced with the duplicate after every save.

    - This way versioning, autosaves, and other temp data could still be exist in the appdata folder and the final versions of the files could live somewhere that's more accessible to users and doesn't require all the steps listed above.

    That's right.
