Shueisha A preset has no gutter on the spine?

I'm trying to select a page-preset for a manga project that I want to eventually print. When looking at the various presets, I noticed the "Shueisha A (shonen jump)" preset has no gutter at the spine. Not only is the inner border closer to the spine, but the "Safety margin" is also very close to the spine.

It seems as though if I followed the border/safety margin in this preset, I would be losing image detail behind the spine & binding.

This has me confused. I want to use a preset that has the best border and safety margin for the printing a standard VIZ sized 5"x7.5" tankobon, but am concerned that following the preset guides will cause difficulties when printing.

The attached image is an example of what I mean with the Shueisha A preset.
The image is of the right-side page, in a left-bound book. The safety margin & border are extremely close to the inner-side of the page, where the binding would be.

The Shueisha A preset seems to be the only one with a default border on the binding-side. I'm trying to learn *why* the preset is like this, and what preset would be best for what I'm trying to accomplish

For major commercial magazines, specialized staff will adjust the position of the manuscript at the time of printing to match the medium.
Since the book is assumed to be several hundred pages thick, I think it's no problem if the bound side is small.
(The thicker the book, the more of the bound side will be hidden, so the drawn part will be wasted.)

I think this is a preset for when you leave the printing and binding to a publisher.
If you are asking a printing company to do it yourself, or if you are printing and binding it yourself, I think it's better to create it at the original size of a book, such as B6, and set the margins of the bound side appropriately.
If the canvas feels small, you will need to draw it in A4 or B5 size and reduce it when printing.

Thank you for this answer! I'll make sure to use the Kadokawa B6 standard, since that seems to be a good guide based on your suggestions.
