I've been trying to see if I can recreate a similar function using Auto Action in CSP but so far without success. Does anyone know how it might be possible to achieve this?

16 days agoTo my knowledge the light table tool only works for cels in an animation timeline, but maybe I'm missing something. Is there a way to get this tool to light table the current layer in a single illustration, with no animation cels?

16 days agoIn CLIP STUDIO PAINT, the "Light Table" function is called the "Animation Cels" palette.
You can use the "Animation Cels" palette even if you are not using an animation canvas.
However, only the "Canvas Shared Light Table" can be registered.
The "Layer Comp" function allows you to show and hide layers, but it does not seem to allow you to adjust opacity like a light table.
If you use "Auto Actions", the names of the target layers will be limited, but you can register layer opacity adjustments and layer comp operations.- Japanese

For reference of what the goal is I've attached a gif of this function in Storyboard Pro. You can see how when it is activated, whatever layer is chosen in the layer tray becomes the only layer displayed at full opacity and all other layers are knocked back.
If there's no way to hack this in CSP currently, my hope would be that they would add this function in future versions, since it is incredibly helpful!- English
