Hello, as the title says i just got a brand new Kamva 24 whenever i was drawing on it for the first time this random lines appeared. This also only happened twice, the lines also don’t seem to touch the menu at all only the drawing. However they disappeared once i zoom out or move the canvas.. is this a known issue for CSP? all my drivers are up to date and this is a new tablet.

Does the line enclosed in the red frame appear in the exported data?
(Sorry, I looked at the attached image, but it was too faint to see very well)

If the unintended straight line does not appear in the data itself,
it is probably a problem with the LCD pen tablet.

↑This is the FAQ to check in such cases.

Also, the latest version of the pen tablet driver may not be compatible, so
try an older version, such as the previous version.

It may look like some burn-in on the LCD screen, so if you recently bought it, please attach a picture and contact the official support of the pen tablet manufacturer. It may be a manufacturing defect, so if it is within the warranty period, you may be able to get a free replacement.

So the lines happened so fast i wasn’t able to grab a screenshot, it’s only happened twice but i didn’t think of taking a screenshot as any movement ( Zooming out, brush stroke or selecting something else causes them to go away )

If you search for LCD screen burn-in on Google or other sites and compare it to the images that come up,
    and it looks similar,
it's likely that something similar to that symptom has occurred.

Unless the random straight lines are clearly drawn in the currently selected drawing color in CLIP STUDIO PAINT,
it's unlikely that there's a problem with the application itself.

Personally, I think there's a high possibility that it's a problem with the LCD screen itself.

Oh i did! but i am a bit confused as LCD burn ins are typically permanent.. and these seemed to go away. I also found another user on reddit with a brand new Kamva 19 having the same issue but they only appeared when this user moved the canvas side to side. I also really appreciate the help!

i was able to catch them in a screenshot, So i don’t believe it’s my tablet… this only happens when im zoomed into the canvas and i move left and right. Once i zoom out they are gone. Aside from the canvas they don’t touch anything else.

Wouldn't it be easier to see the phenomenon if you used white paper and a red main color instead of black?
If the line is on a layer, select the layer on which the faint line appears with Layer Selection, and with "Lock Transparent Pixels" in place, use Edit menu > Fill to fill only the painted areas with red.
Take a screenshot of the result and attach it to your answer in the answer box.

If you export the work in which this phenomenon occurs as a PNG or similar file, will the lines be reflected?

Also, does the problem occur if you display it in a paint app that's pre-installed on the device, rather than in CLIP STUDIO PAINT?

Also, if you create a new file in CLIP STUDIO PAINT, does the same phenomenon occur with that new work?

If it only affects the data you're currently working on, it's possible that some kind of layer data has been corrupted.

    Hello (-:

negative if I export it as a PNG it won’t reflect as this only happens when i am zoomed in and moving side to side once i am zoomed out the lines disappear.

This problem only seems to occur in CSP, krita and adobe both don’t have this issue.

yes it always happens, as long as i zoom in and move the sliders left or right. It doesn’t matter if it’s new or not..

my canvas size is about 4000x5000 with 300 of DPI as well, display setting are set to default.

As for this to be done with red and white i can try. I will if i can get a screenshot of the red in the canvas doing this.

-Are you sure that the same problem occurs when you create a new file in CLIP STUDIO PAINT?

So far, this problem has not occurred with other drawing software.

I also use CLIP STUDIO PAINT, but this problem has never occurred before.

If you are getting an error related to CLIP STUDIO PAINT,
try matching the drivers for your pen tablet from the newest to the oldest.
This has nothing to do with other drawing software.
It is also possible that the pen tablet driver itself is not properly compatible.

    > It is not reflected when exported as PNG.
If that is the case, I think it is safe to assume that the data corruption of the file you are creating is low.
I think there is no problem with the work data itself.

Yes this occurs when i create a new file with CSP.

hmmm i wonder if it could be my canvas settings, i can always try and reinstall drivers.

i’ve seen many people use Huion with CSP so i am also puzzled.. someone here posted before saying they had this issue but after an update of CSP it went away only to come back months after..

The link is in Japanese, so please read it using a translation app.

It looks a little similar to the image at the link, but
some drawing software can reproduce the symptoms, while others cannot, so
I'm not sure if the display problem is within the CLIP STUDIO PAINT software,
or if it's related to the LCD display of the pen tablet (or the internal graphic driver).

I would like you to check the following methods at the link.
Please replace it with the LCD pen tablet and check.

・Unplug the monitor's power cable from the outlet and wait 30 seconds.
After that, plug the power cable back into the outlet and check if the problem is solved.

・Unplug the video signal cable from the monitor and the connected device.
After that, plug the video signal cable back into the monitor and the connected device and check if the problem is solved.

    - Changing the version of the pen tablet's driver

    - Unplugging and plugging in all cables connected to the pen tablet

    - Uninstalling CLIP STUDIO PAINT, restarting the device itself, and reinstalling it

If the above doesn't resolve the issue, we think it would be best to contact both the official support of the pen tablet's manufacturer and the official support of CLIP STUDIO PAINT.

    Sorry, I forgot to ask.
There's something I'd like to confirm.

When you close the canvas in CLIP STUDIO PAINT, do random straight lines appear around the same position on the LCD tablet display?

If so, there may be some problem with the display on the LCD tablet when you create a canvas in CLIP STUDIO PAINT.
It seems that you can properly export the created file as data, so I think there is no problem with the work data itself.

I think that the internal signal may not be switched properly when displayed on the LCD tablet.
Either way, I think it's something you should contact the official support for directly.

    no worries (-:

    - No lines appear when i close the app, the screen is running a wallpaper. Each time i zoom into my canvas and move the lines are always different in a different pattern..

    - I am not sure about it being a tablet issue ( drivers are gtg ) i opened Krita same canvas size and resolution. I zoomed in at exactly 130% where CSP is giving me issues and no lines were created

Is it possible to fill colored line drawings with red? (Can't you already reproduce vertical lines?)
In the screenshot, the lines only appeared within the canvas.
It seemed like a display bug on the CLIP STUDIO PAINT side.

    Sorry. I think I misunderstood a little.
    > When the canvas is closed in CLIP STUDIO PAINT,
doesn't it happen that random straight lines appear in the same position on the LCD tablet display?

Regarding the following content, I meant to ask,
not when the CLIP STUDIO PAINT application itself is closed,
but when CLIP STUDIO PAINT is running and no work canvas is open (only each palette is open),
doesn't the random straight line appear in the same position on the display where the error occurred?

Have you tried changing to a different version of the pen tablet driver?

In my previous reply, I wrote "The following content is...", but the correct answer is "The above content is...".
I'm sorry that it's hard to read. I need to translate it properly, so I'm correcting it.

There seems to be a problem when enlarging the display after creating a canvas in CLIP STUDIO PAINT.
It is possible that the signal to the LCD pen tablet is not working properly when enlarging the display to a certain extent in CLIP STUDIO PAINT.
    https://help.clip-studio.com/ko-kr/manual_kr/720_preferences/%ED%99%98%EA%B2%BD_%EC%84%A4%EC%A0%95.htm#1363343

If you change the display quality item ① in the "Canvas" preferences to "High Quality," we would like you to check whether this improves the situation.

    >Usapyon
Even after creating a new canvas, these random straight lines appear when you zoom in to a certain percentage (130%).
Also, the error doesn't occur when you export the work.
So it doesn't seem like the work data itself is corrupted.

Currently, this error doesn't occur with other drawing software.
Only in CLIP STUDIO PAINT, random straight lines appear when you zoom in above a certain percentage.

    >It doesn't seem like the artwork data itself is corrupted.

Yes, it is. Since it's limited to the canvas, I think it's a kind of display bug on the Clip Studio Paint side.
There has long been a display bug that causes clipping when scaling the display to a certain value, so this time there's no clipping but the lines are displayed, which is a phenomenon I've never heard of, and I thought it might be one of those.
There doesn't seem to be any particular problem at the moment, but the display bug may eventually affect the actual data, so it may be something to send to support.

    >There has long been a display bug where certain values are cut off when scaling the display

Thank you, Usapyon! I wasn't aware of the display bug where certain values are cut off when scaling the display.
It's possible that this is a related bug.

At this point, I thought it would be best to contact official support.
It's impossible to say for sure that there is no problem with the LCD of the LCD pen tablet itself, so
I think it would be safe to contact official HUION support.
