How to draw on a keyframe layer

I know that you're meant to draw the keyframes before you press enable keyframe layer, but I'm trying to draw inbetweens and I can't draw, how do I draw on a keyframe layer. (If you're just meant to create a new layer, well my bad chat)

As said in your previous question, you need to press the "Enable keyframe editing" button on the Timeline palette. You cannot view keyframes and edit them at the same time. @DoppelGänger that was my question but it wasn't the same problem. I learned how to make keyframes from that and then stopped trying clip studio animation for a while. Here I'm trying to draw an inbetween, while keeping the keyframes visible as well. (Unless there's some other way to put onion skin forward)

As DragonWithaFez points out, the best way to be sure is to disable the keyframe function before drawing in-between.

The "keyframe" function is basically for camerawork, and is a completely different term to the drawing function known as "key animation."

The keyframe function includes "coordinates, magnification, rotation, rotation axis coordinates, and opacity."
Even when using onion skin, in order to draw "intermediate lines," it is essential to release the keyframe or use the editing function for layers with active keyframes.
