I downloaded a pen called a line drawing strength pen, but I can't get the lines to start and stop properly. It said that if you move the pen quickly, the lines will become thinner, but instead they end up thicker. I can't get the lines to start and stop properly with other pens either. Please tell me what to do.

If you look at the screenshot, you can see that the pen gets thinner as the pen speed increases, so isn't that just how the pen is supposed to be?

It seems to get thinner a little too quickly, so if it bothers you, I recommend adjusting the pen pressure before using it.

    Is this the brush material?
It seems to be for people who use strong pen pressure.

The subtool details and brush influence source settings in the second attached image have not been changed from the default, so I think they are the same.

I had downloaded this before, so I tried it out.
The pen pressure is not very high.
If you stroke normally, both ends of the in and out will become thin. I don't think there is a problem with the material itself.
It has quite a quirk, so it may be difficult to use if you leave it at the default settings.
(I don't use it as my main because I find it a little difficult to use)

I also compared it with the default G pen. I think it is easier to apply strength and weakness than the G pen.

I tried drawing with the same material pen at the following sizes.
    1500px x 1500px (350dpi) Display rate 100%
    Strokes of 7px and 3px.
I omitted 0.7px because it was too thin and difficult to see.
When the brush size is small, it was difficult to make thick strokes unless you were conscious of making them stronger than usual.
I think it depends on the overall pen pressure setting.

The tip is likely to become ink-like when the "Speed" item in the brush influence source settings is ON and the stroke is made quickly.
If you draw slowly, the middle part will be thin and less likely to smudge.

↑ Please refer to the pen pressure graph here for the ink puddle-like effect.

How strong was your stroke when drawing the lines in the attached image?
If it seems to be set on the hard side, it may be close to that.
The pen pressure may be set on the hard side in the overall pen pressure graph in Clip Studio Paint.

Also, I would recommend slightly adjusting the values for the beginning and end in the "Start and end" item in the subtool details.

↑ When I leave the inset at the default settings, it tends to look a bit like ink puddles,
but I think this brush material is relatively easy to keep the line thickness consistent.
The previous material is a bit difficult to use, so I personally recommend this one.

When inset is off, it looks like the attached image, so if you turn it on and adjust it, it may become a bit thinner.
The canvas size and display ratio are the same settings as in the previous answer.

It may be a matter of getting used to controlling the brush by moving your hand.
As the speed increases, the line will become thinner, so where you want to create an ink puddle, wait a little and then start slowly > brush faster > slow down at the end, as shown in the screenshot in the question.
If you go even a little too fast, the line will tend to become thinner, so I think it is easier to control on a fairly large tablet or a large LCD tablet.
The smaller the tablet, the shorter the reach tends to be, making it harder to control.
The image below shows the writing feel without any adjustments to the subtool details.

You may be able to make fine adjustments in the entry/exit effect settings in the entry/exit item.
I don't use this very often, so I just realized that the number of items has increased without me noticing (・ω・;)
I think it would be a good idea to add any items that interest you.

    > I was told that if I move the pen quickly the line will become thinner, but instead it ends up becoming thicker.

I think it's exactly as explained and not the other way around. Is that normal?
If I want to make the lines thinner by starting and ending them quickly, wouldn't a G pen or round pen be fine?

    > I can't get the edges to start and finish properly with other pens either.

If it's difficult to get thin edges with other pens either, then there may be a problem with the overall pen pressure settings graph.

You may be able to get an answer more easily if you also post an attached image showing what the default G-pen settings look like.

The attached image is the same as the default G-pen compared in the previous answer, and uses those settings. It's left at the default settings.
The "Edge" item has no brush size and is set to "None."
