What happened to the private message system?

In the assets shop, you used to be able to private message creators. I liked to be able to contact a creator if there was a problem with the material they posted, or sometimes just to tell them how much I appreciated their work.
Why did Celsys remove the ability for people to direct message each other? Was it because they had one incident of a spam bot trying to deceive people? Do we know if there are there plans to restore it once they implement better bot detection, if that’s the reason?

1 month agoTo be precise the feature remains,
but「you cannot send messages unless you follow each other」
Considering past occurrences,
the functionality restriction may have been triggered by spam bots.
These countermeasures are proving difficult for other services as well,
so a resumption is unlikely.

1 month agoAt one point, DMs were abused using the DM function on the ASSETS material site,
so DMs are now hidden there.
If necessary, please let us know through the links to social media accounts, etc., that are available in the author's profile.
It may be reinstated in the future if site security is improved,
but since the DM function itself does not appear to have been particularly updated (and even if it has, it is probably a low priority),
we expect DMs to remain hidden going forward.
