Pressing the “Shift key” on the keyboard before startup will display the initialization menu.
When this menu appears, turn on the workspace and initialize it.

Please make sure that the Window and Layer check boxes in the top menu are turned ON.

The < and > icons at the top of the palette will open and close the palette dock in the direction they are pointing.
    Press them to check.

The version you're currently using is in limited functionality mode, so you can't save your work.
    There are various functional limitations.
If you purchase the full version, you'll be able to save your work.

There's no problem if you're just testing the operation feel.

Also, canvases with "Restored" after the name
will be displayed as canvases that did not terminate normally.
Since you can't save your work, you may be switching applications while the canvas is still open.
Before switching, it's a good idea to close any canvases you don't need.

Canvas tabs use up memory the longer they're open, which increases the load on the application.
Close any canvases you don't need by clicking the "X" next to them.
