Clip Studio Paint Crashes When Opening or Saving Files

When I attempt to open or save my files, my clip studio crashes as soon as the File Explorer comes up. Earlier it wasn't opening any of my files, but now it just crashes any time I attempt to open up the files or save them. I can drag and drop files into the program, as well as ctrl+s to save, but I can't export, save as, or open any other files.

Hello! This is apparently and issue with the new Windows Update.

    1. Close Clip Studio and Clip Studio Paint first

    2. Go to: Program Files\CELSYS\CLIP STUDIO 1.5\CLIP STUDIO PAINT

    3. Move the file "msvcp140.dll" to your desktop, removing it from its original location.
Please make sure to select exactly "msvcp140.dll"! There is a couple that have similar names- like msvcp140_1.dll but you need msvcp140.dll.

    4. Now go to: C:\Windows\System32

    5. Right-click the file "msvcp140.dll" and select "Copy", make sure to copy it and not remove it from the System32 folder!

    6. Than go back to Program Files\CELSYS\CLIP STUDIO 1.5\CLIP STUDIO PAINT and paste it there.
