I lost all of my art, this will be my 13th reason

Last week my old computer decided to just die on me and I just now got a new one. I tried using a USB to save all of the art that I had but the files got extremely corrupted. So. I checked the cloud and none of my old files were saved there. I've been working in this program since late 2020, I just lost half a decade worth of work, I genuinely feel crushed. I had pieces I was still actively working on that are now completely lost.

Cloud data is deleted if you haven't logged in for over a year, but if you had any work in progress, it's likely that you didn't set up cloud backups in the first place.

Cloud backups, regardless of settings or work, will only be performed if you enable them yourself.

We recommend setting up cloud backups or an external hard drive in the future.

Did you have a backup on cloud to begin with?

If there are files you treasure you should make online backups for them. You get free live sync with onedrive on windows. Then you get free gigabytes for every account on google (not live). Use that free data and keep copies of your files there.

I don't know what kind of computer your old one is, but if you can remove the storage device, you might be able to read the data on your new PC by connecting it to a USB adapter (sold separately).

When disconnecting a USB memory stick from your PC, be sure to perform the "Safely Remove Hardware and Remove Media" operation before removing it, as it's very likely to break, so I think it's best to be careful.
The characters on the USB media seem garbled, so it's possible that you might be able to read it on another PC.
