When you use sub-window mode, the side menu bars become narrower like this. They are not separated and cannot be resized.

1 day agoAre you having trouble because the palettes are too thin?
Can you grab the border and pull it as shown in the image below?
If you can't pull it, go to Window menu > Palette Dock > ☑ Fix palette dock width
and uncheck this.
