Dear Communicty, I got the following question.
I recently registered a 6-month license code to my account successfully. However, after installing the software, I accidentally activated the 30-day free trial instead of my license.
My account currently shows the trial countdown (less than 30 days remaining). To ensure I use my 6-month license correctly, can you kindly clarify:
1. Activation: If I cancel the 30-day trial now, will my 6-month license automatically activate, or will I risk losing it?
2. Procedure: Should I wait for the trial to expire before attempting to activate the 6-month code, or is there a way to switch the active license immediately within the software?
What is the recommended path to ensure the 6-month period is applied correctly?

10 days agoDebut is very limited so I would say enjoy that trial as long as you can, because it gives you all features.
Both are ticking anyway so you can not make it to 7 months. Use up your trial and and cancel that subscription before 30 days pass. Then after it expires just click activate on your debut license. All of thus us done in paint, not on clip studio.
There is no way to delay time limited subscriptions. It starts the moment you buy/redeem it.- English

10 days agoBy cancel subscription I mean the 30 day one. If there is no subscription (3 month trial shows as as a subscription, not sure about 30 day one) then just wait it out.

Feature List by Grade
https://www.clipstudio.net/en/functional_list/
The PRO grade has more limited features than the EX grade, and the DEBUT grade has even more limited features than the PRO grade.
The 30-day free trial allows you to use the EX grade, which offers all features, during that period.
The trial version is limited to one user per device, so it's more cost-effective to use it for 30 days.
Since it's free during the trial period, you won't be charged for any usage during the 30 days.
After the trial period expires, it will switch to a limited-feature version (trial drawing mode).

For the PC version, licenses do not switch automatically. Manual switching is required.
To check or change your purchased or owned license, launch CLIP STUDIO PAINT and go to the Help menu.
It is recommended to use the 30-day free trial version before using the DEBUT version.
However, with the DEBUT version, some EX data cannot be re-edited.
If features only available in EX are included, or if the versions are different, re-editing and saving may not be possible due to differences in grade.
In that case, an EX license is required.

Note that the smartphone version allows free use of EX for up to 30 hours total per month.
In some cases, data editing is possible using the smartphone version.- Japanese
