Tampered W.I.P Art

On random occasions when I save my art and turn off my computer, whenever I rejoin I'll notice that the art piece I've been working on would be edited with the lasso tool, and there's nothing I can do to undo this action. The lasso tool would always be equip when I come back even if the last tool I used wasn't the lasso tool, and most of the time it affects more than 1 layer.

The image is an example on a much smaller scale, but this happened to other art pieces as well and even animations, making it annoying when I have to go back and manually fix every layer/cel

Is there something wrong with my software? Do I need to restart anything to prevent this or..?

I've never heard of a case like this before.
You mentioned that it affects multiple layers; are you using the [Multiple Layers] option in the eraser tool?
Have you set a shortcut key for this tool, or has it placed in a location where you might accidentally access it, such as quick access?

If none of the above applies to you, and this problem occurs repeatedly, I recommend reporting it to the support desk.

Only files in .clip format are displayed in the project list (project management) on the CLIP STUDIO (START) side.

.jpg, PNG, etc. will not be displayed. (This is by design.)

Are you saving the master data of your project to the internal storage of your device?

Saving directly to external storage or the cloud is officially discouraged.

This is because transfer speeds differ, and data corruption may occur.

It would be best to have the .clip format data examined in detail by requesting a repair investigation.

If saving itself fails, it would be a good idea to try both of the emergency measures described in the FAQ below.

This is especially true when registering an entire layer to the material palette.

Since the root cause is unknown, it would be best to contact official support directly.

It is rare, but sometimes blocky sections appear due to corrupted layer data, etc.
Please check the above FAQ thoroughly, and if the issue persists, please contact us.

For now, how about trying a complete uninstallation of the program and then reinstalling the same version?

Even if you completely uninstall the program, your settings and license will not be lost.
