Please help I put in an activation code and now it says I don’t have a pass

Ok so my sister got me the windows infinite pass thing for my laptop I put in the activation code and it put a downloading screen after a while I closed the screen that said downloading because I was tired of waiting now it says I don’t have the pass but every time I try to put it in it says it’s already been activated I don’t really want to buy a new one so how can I get the one I already put in back?
