Surface pro (2017) i5 8gb not enough???

I have a Surface Pro (2017) i5, 8gb
I've just downloaded the trail & I'm experiencing pretty serious lag..

I have 'file > preferences > performance' at 95%

I'm in a relatively small canvas & not running anything else beside it.

Sticking to just one simple pencil.. one moment there is no problem, another moment it freezes over and over again.

Please bear with me, I a noob with hardware specs ^^

Hope someone also with a SP can tell me it CAN run good :)

I am no expert by any means but try— clearing your memory in the history Pallette. As you draw the history pallet memory fills up with each stroke! Think of it as your carrying more stuff in your arms as you go— you reach a point you stop to put everything down . Once you do there is no problem walking fast again. On the history palette up in the corner is a tiny box - tap on it and it will say clear memory . Or I believe it is on the pull down tabs- not sure but you can put a shortcut on your command bar or in your Quick access palette tp do this straight away. Once clear you can not go back to a previous step it -starts over —remembering each new stroke you make - and you are carrying more and more stuff in your arms again. This might explain the lag as well. Also check that you have other programs open in your computer —closed - You see this could be using resources of your computer’s memory.! Closing them would free up memory for clip paint studio to use! -Last clear all the memory in your internet browser - you might never have cleared on your laptop - this also hogs precious Computer memory- just holding all the places you have been on the internet. Art programs needs memory to do all the things you ask of them plus remember everything you just did!—- - I hope this somehow address your problem and- helps you!- Steve
