Magic Wand Tool Isn’t working?

I’m following tutorials where artists use the magic wand tool, select the screen with their character and the selected area is the border but also the character, mine is only selecting the border so i can’t invert the selection, how can i fix this?

5 years agoSo, you are only able to select the outside? If that is the problem, then you go to -> Selection Area (the top bar) -> Invert Selected Area (Ctrl+Shift+I)
This should invert the selection you have made. You can also use the Selection Pen/Eraser (M) to tweek your selection! below is a quick demo. 1) Select the Outside. 2) Invert Selection 3) Use Selection Tool to Adjust. Hope this was helpful!- English
