Layer mode is not reflected in layer merge

When combining multiple layers including layers with different layer modes such as multiplication and overlay,
The layer mode is not reflected and the color becomes dull.

・ When all layers are merged with “Merge Image”, the result is displayed as it is displayed.
-Layer mode is also reflected in “Combine display layers”.
• “Merge selected layers” does not reflect the layer mode.
-“Transfer to lower layer” and “Combine with lower layer” do not reflect the layer mode.

It can be seen from the response of the following URL that it is not reflected in `` transfer to the lower layer '' and `` combine with the lower layer '', but officially it is an answer that it is reflected by `` merge the selected layer '', but it is reflected It will not be.

If there are many layers, you will want to “merge the selected layers”, but it will not be reflected and you will be in trouble.
Is there any countermeasure or how I am doing this?
Thank you in advance.

    When using composite mode
If it fits in the picture displayed below
You can combine layers that have reached the composite mode
If it is out of the picture
It will be treated as “normal” when combined
This is because compositing modes cannot be mixed in a single layer.

・ Overlay (highlight etc.) (I want to combine)
・ Multiplication (shadow) (I want to combine)
・ Normal (painting) (I want to combine)
    When combining
・ Overlay (highlight etc.) (I want to combine)
・ Multiplication (shadow) (I want to combine)
    "Clip at the bottom layer"
If there is no problem, you can combine

Thank you Hiroki Akisora and Kemo for explaining in detail.
I would like to draw illustrations in the future while reluctating the last explanation that Mr. Kemo explained, while including the method of explanation with Mr. Akisora.
(It is very unfortunate that you can choose only one best answer)
    Thank you very much.
