Figure Tool: Custom Shapes?

I know that you can edit the pre-existing figure tool shapes and lines, but is there a way to create and register custom shapes? Like the square, ellipse, and polygon tool but with a triangle or a star? Possibly creating more complex shapes too.

Converts any character in text to a raster layer. (You may draw normally with the raster layer)
Vectorize with "Convert Layer" in the Layer menu. (You can use the layer as a material by registering "template" as it is)
You can create a ruler with "Ruler / Frame frame" in the layer menu and use it as a template.
