Hello,
I have Clip Studio Paint Pro and I'm currently using trial version of Ex. I would love to buy it, but I'm waiting for discount.
I was wondering if I could buy for a month subscription for Ex and then cancel it when discount happens?
Or would it cause problems with upgrading my pro to ex?

Yes, you can buy a subscription and later cancel it to replace it with the One Time Purchase. It won't interfere with using your Pro license (as long as it's not the Wacom-issued license) to EX.

All desktop purchases of Clip Studio Paint are only one-time purchases, once you bought it you bought it, unlike the mobile and Chrome versions that do have montly subscriptions. So, if I understand your question correctly, it would not be possible to have a subscription that cancel it when EX goes on discount. The next sale will likely be in March or around that time for their Spring sale, wait until then to purchase EX.
