.clip files won't open normally

Hello, I have CSP Ex on a MacOS, and recently my .clip files haven't been opening when I click on them. Last time this happened, the solution was to open them with through the Recent files as opposed to double clicking them like normal, but that doesn't work anymore. Instead, I've found that the only way to get these files to open is (on MacOS) to go to the folders Documents > CELSYS > InitialBackup, place the .clip files in the folder, and then they work fine, but removing the files from the InitialBackup folder breaks them again.
TLDR; I can only open .clip files when they're in the InitialBackup folder.
I don't want to store all of my CSP files in that folder so if anyone knows how to fix this, I'd appreciate it!
