Why CSP merges layers during jpg export? How to switch it off?

I export jpg and then close csp file and save. Then when I open my file all the layers are merged. How to change it?

When you export as a Jpeg, it's exporting the file as an image in that format. If you want to reopen certain files with layers you'll have to save in Clip studio format. So exporting, no matter what format, will make your file an image without layer information. If you want to keep layer information AND export as image, you should save in a copy in clip studio format and export another copy in Jpeg. Exporting is a function that exports it as an image and ther is no way to switch off layer merging.

Jpg files do not hold layer data, it is a flat image. Png is also this way. There should be a pop-up warning on these file types that your image will be merged.

To preserve all layer data, you need to save it as a .clip (CLIP STUDIO FORMAT) file type.

If you open and edit a jpg file from "Open", executing "Save" will overwrite the opened jpg file.
The jpg file does not retain the layer, so if you want to save it while retaining the layer, you need to save it as a ".clip" file with "Save As".
