I currently have the Large (PTH-860) and still have this stroke stutter. My only resolve has been to use the normal grip pen from my older intuos model over the new pro pen 2, however i still get the lag but less frequently. Just to add I have tried reverting to several older wacom drivers and still had the issue on both windows 7 and windows 10.

6 years agoHi
First I wonder it is tablet-driver-mode issue, so switch to "Wintab" from "TabletPC" in CSP preference may fix some issue. But, I just reproduced this issue on my Cintiq Pro 13 with Pro Pen 2.
(But not every time, after I reboot the issue seems gone and I seems can not reproduce it again.)
Anyway, The root cause seems is "Click Threadhold" level in Wacom Properties. If you ever adjust it , for example, move it far away from Y axis. Then this issue will happen frequently with Clip Studio Paint. For SAI and SAI2 , they are seems bug free.
According to this post on CSP Japanese official support site, CELSYS seems already aware this issue.
https://www.clip-studio.com/clip_site/support/request/detail/svc/54/tid/95163
For now we can do is try to lower the level of "Click Threshold" if you ever adjust it. At default setting, my CPS seems fine.(or reboot? the issue on my case is very randomly.)
But if this not works for you, then the only way is waiting for patch fix.- English

6 years agoThank you for the response. Yes, I have seen that adjusting the pressure sensitivity via wacom tablet driver settings makes this problem appear more often than leaving it at default. I'm just curious if this is something wacom or celsys has to patch. I havn't been able reproduce this problem with any other drawing software such as sai, photoshop, krita, etc.

6 years agoThere is a thing I forget to mention, you can try to disable "Windows Ink" in Wacom properties. But just I can not very sure if this trick really works or not.
Back to main topic. Maybe celsys or both, we don't know.
There is another interesting thing. If you tried SAI2(not old SAI, you can download it form Development Room of SAI official site.), and try to set Pen as "Bristle" brush, and Direction is set to "Auto", you will see similar issue.(Not complete identical to lag issue but similar.)
But SAI2 has the option to set it as "Pen Direction" and then the issue can be fixed.
Though, I do not know if this issue, is the same cause of CSP or not.

6 years agoOk it seem disable windows ink does not rally fix the issue, same as lower level of threshold.
For now I adjust pen pressure but keeping the threshold at default, it seems better on my CSP, but still hope the issue can be fixed.- English

6 years agoCan you try enabling/disabling "pressure compatibility" in wacom tablet preferences/ options?

6 years agoThanks for the advice but the option is for some old software that not supporting over 1024 pen pressure. Not for CSP I wonder.
If CSP only supports 1024 pen pressure then there is no meaning we use CSP.- English
