Clip studio, iCloud, or both!

I have recently upgraded to a MacBook Air 2020 with the M1 chip on version 11.4 Big Sur. I definitely did not anticipate having so many issues with ClipStudio given that I was previously on a super old MacBook Pro.

Issues I have been having is Clip continually "saving to file" if I have more than 2 documents open which is infuriating. Today I have started encouraging new issues where clip "Failed to save file" I tried saving in different locations but none would work. Only when I closed 1 of the 3 documents without saving (so losing my work) would it allow me to save the other 2. Then when I've gone back on it's rewritten then names of the documents in that folder and saving newer versions of a document I haven't even worked on today a later number. For example I had 14 clip documents named "Spread 1" to "Spread 14" and a jpeg version of each. Now I have up to "Spread 22" It's even done that with JPEGs. Whilst I'm glad I haven't lost any work I'm struggling and concerned about what's happening here and how I can fix it.

Everything on my MacBook is backed up to iCloud. I run CleanMyMac daily so I don't think anything untoward virus wise is happening.
