Is there a more simple way to copy and paste like selecting a specific part of your drawing and paste it onto a new frame? Also for some reason I when I duplicate a layer and naming it by the new frame in the timeline, sometimes it doesn't show its there but its invisible,

    Use folders

    On the "Layer" palette
Select one "Animation Cell" in the "Animation Folder"
Click the "Three Lines" icon in the upper left of the "Layer" palette
Select "Create Folder and Insert Layer" from the "Menu"

An "animation cell" and a "folder with the same name" are created and the original animation cell is stored in it.
This folder acts as an animation cell
You can use multiple layers in a folder to complete a single illustration

You can copy the layers in a folder and paste them in the next folder
