Anti-overflow not working

Anti-overflow isn't stopping the pen from making marks after passing through a line set on a reference layer. I used the edit tab to convert the reference layer to opaque, I enabled the don't cross lines of reference layers button. What does work is the 'area scaling' setting, which puts a space around the reference layers lines.

I installed the layer to be painted (the raster layer of the yellow line) on the reference layer (the vector layer of the black line) and tried it.
I inadvertently checked "Area scaling" in (2), but since it is 0, please ignore it.
    ------------------------

    (1) I checked only "Do not cross lines of vector reference layer".

For the time being, it straddles the black line.
You can see that it also straddles the layer thumbnail.

    (2) I also checked "Fill up to Vector path".

The centerline of the vector is unpainted.
If you bring a pen with a yellow line near the center line of the vector, it will stop at that part.

It was a feature I didn't use very often, but I feel that it wasn't something that crossed the line so easily before.

    Is there any technique (?)

If you slide "Area scaling" in the minus direction, it feels like there is a gap at regular intervals from the center line of the vector layer that is the reference layer.
I don't use it in particular.

I thought anti-overflow was supposed to stop me from crossing past the lines on reference layer entirely, not just on the exact lines where the reference layer is.
