Keyframes disappear when rasterizing layer?

Before I had an image material layer with keyframes. I duplicated the animation folder, rasterized the layer to be able to edit it, and it kept its Keyframes intact.
However now when I try to do the same, the keyframes disappear as soon as I rasterize the layer. Am I doing something wrong? How can I edit the layer without losing my keyframes?
