Pressing CTRL or CMD on Mac and clicking on a particle will show you which layer that particle is. Is there a way to jump to that layer automatically?

As the title says, when I need to erase something and have multiple layers, I hold CTRL and click on the object I want to erase, and on the Layers palete it shows me on which layer that particle (drawing, line, dust, etc), but then goes back to the layer I am at. So I have to manually navigate to that specific layer and this is troublesome when your art has dozens (if not hundreds) of layers.
On Photoshop if you hold CTRL and click on that area it goes automatically to that layer. Is there a way to turn on such a function here?
