My Clip Studio Paint won't update?

I have Clip Studio Paint Pro, and when I first got it, it was Version 1.5.4. I've downloaded the update for 1.7.1, and it claims to have been installed, but nothing at all is different when I open my program. Also, when I open the "Version Information" under "HELP" tab, it tells me it's still version 1.5.4.

Do I need to uninstall the whole program in order to get the newest version? Because the update file is just not working for me even if I re-download it. I have also tried to install the 1.6.8 version, but that one gives me a notice that says I have a later version than it, so it would need to have my program uninstalled to install that version. I'm so confused?

Note: I use a Windows 10 laptop that is new.

    Hi!

What happens is that each update is like a new program so is installed separadly. When you started the program from the same shortcut you usually use, it oppened the 1.5.4 cause that shortcut is linked to that version. It didn't let you install the 1.6.8 cause you have a more recent version already installed (the 1.7.1)
You can search where the 1.7 was installed, make a new desktop shortcut to that one, but then you'll two version of the program, and is going to use too much space of your computer so it's better to keep just one. What you can do is delete all the versions -to avoid compatibily issues- and then downloading again the most recent version from here: http://www.clipstudio.net/en/dl
and install the program like usual.

But before deleting anything, save your materials: Go to my documents, you'll see a folder called "Celsys", copy that in a USB or somewhere (google drive), and then yes, uninstall everything. Install the program again, and without opening the software , go back to "my documents" and replace the new "celsys" folder for the one you had.

How to unnistall the other versions:
Go to the control panel -> Programs -> Unnistall.
there you go, remember to reboot before installation.

    Best whises! :D
