8 bit upgrade to 16-32 bit

Hi,
I'm new to Clip coming from Photo$LOP and I was wondering if the team is planning to step it up to 16 or 32-bit float? I work in the TV and Film industry and I'm looking for an alternative to PS. 8-bit won't cut it when it comes to Alpha channels, EXR files, and matte painting, with concept art not so much due to banding/stepping in gradients.
Is this something users have been asking for or am I on my own with this?
Cheers

This is just a user community with no company involvement.
    This is an unanswerable question.

The best place to send this suggestion is therough the Requests link on the Support page. This link goes directly to Feedback and Requests:

It would be a good idea if they added (at least) 16-bit support. But you should also keep in mind that (historically) this program really started as a program to make black and white/grayscale comics, so I don't think high bit depth has been at the top of the development wishlist.
