animation not saving as a .gif?

hello! i have clip studio paint and made a small 6 frame animation, but for some reason it wont save as a .gif? i can save it as a movie but i dont want to do that for every small animation i do. it doesnt seem to save at all, the asterisk is still present when i try to save the animation. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, updating the software, restarting my computer, nothing works. i have a windows computer, any sort of help would be awesome. thank you!

1 year ago@甲乙丙丁戊己庚辛壬 , im so sorry!! google is very bad at translating, i misunderstood what you meant! 😭 i live in america, but i did notice i have version 1.12.3, so i am going to assume i have to update in order for the animation to save. if that doesnt work i will try to record what happens when i try to save. im so sorry again for misunderstanding you, and thank you for your help 😭
