How to assign permanent color to brush tip

I would like to make my favorite sketching pencil a pre-assigned color, so I don't have to grab the color I want every time I draw. Because I love the design pencil I've already tweaked to my needs, I am copying its tips, recoloring them on "Color" expression mode, and re-registering them (instructions I'm following in reverse from (https://ask.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=7448). Yet, this isn't working. Instead of staying the gray-blue I want, it can become pink, green or whatever else I'm not wanting if I accidentally tap somewhere on the color wheel, or I will lose my assigned color when I reopen my program. How can I make my brush permanently ONE color? Thank you.
