downloaded brushes won't import

I've been having this issue for months and months and I swear I've tried everything. I downloaded brushes from the CSP assets site and when I try to import them in the program, they just don't. I try to drag and drop like the instructions say, and that does nothing. I tried to import by clicking the 'add sub tool' at the bottom of the pens list, and that does nothing. I have tried to drag and drop into different types of tools, like pencil, brush, effects, airbrush, etc. I have literally gone down the list trying every tool and it does not work. It does this with every single asset I download. Nothing will import at all.

I have Clip Studio Paint EX, I have the most updated version (1.12.11), I have tried organizing the materials through the clip studio launcher matinence menu, and it gives me an error message immeadiately if I try to reset additional materials. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling CSP dozens of times, I have tried restarting my computer dozens of times, I just don't understand what's going on. I have even tried emailing the CSP support for help, only to be ghosted after one or two responses without a solution. I'm kind of at my wit's end.

    I downloaded it and it seems fine. Please pay attention to the shape of the cursor when dragging and dropping from the download folder to the sub tool palette.
    If there is no problem, a dashed square frame will be attached under the cursor on the sub tool palette.

    The gif didn't capture my cursor, but yes the dashed box frame appears when I drag it over, it just does not import.

    Have you checked if your security software is interfering?
    There is also an exclusion setting.

    Okay so I somewhat fixed it?? Nothing was working, so the last idea I had was to dig out my really slow old computer I don't really use anymore (CSP had no problems importing assets on that one) and go through all the files for every celsys / clipstudio related folder I could find, put them into a USB, delete all the celsys / clipstudio folders on my current computer, and move the copied files over that way. After that it imported most assets like normal, but it still refuses to import some for unknown reasons. I at least got to import a lot of brushes I really wanted.

    Because there may have been an abnormality in the material-related files of CLIP STUDIO PAINT on the newer PC
    I'm not sure if it's actually fixed.
    It would be nice if you could download new materials from the material site on the CLIP STUDIO side and register them additionally.
    It seems inconvenient if you can't add it without going through the old PC when adding it.
