I cannot drag and drop materials into the canvas.

This problem has been plaguing me for ages now. Every time I try to drag and drop something from the materials tabs into the canvas or subtools, nothing happens. Not even an error or crash. Brushes, 3D materials, textures, balloons... every single type of material has this problem.

I searched google to see if anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it, but I can't find anything that helped me.

I have tried everything I could think of. I tried running both Clip Studio and Clip Studio Paint as administrator. I deleted everything related to Clip Studio from my computer and reinstalled it. I tried using my mouse instead of my graphics tablet. I tried using my trackpad instead of the mouse. I tried using third-party materials downloaded from Clip Studio Assets. I tried restarting my computer. Absolutely nothing worked.

I tried contacting support, but after a few days of sending and answering pointless e-mails, I was completely ignored by them.

My computer uses Windows 10, and I am on the newest version of both Windows 10 and CSP.

    If you've tried everything you can think of, you basically have no advice here.
    Support isn't dealing with you alone, so it won't be "ignored" either. I'll try to urge you.

    There are some unclear points in your argument.

    The drag and drop area differs depending on the material. Sub tools to any sub tool palette. Image material to canvas.
    The gradation material is loaded and registered from the gradation map. (Complicated procedures)

    No matter how many times you reinstall and reinstall CLIP STUDIO and CLIP STUDIO PAINT, the folders containing materials are in different places and will not be affected.
    (Refreshing materials is CLIP STUDIO settings (gear icon) menu maintenance, rebuilding suspicious items, etc.)

    I think it's premature to judge whether it's "meaningless" without seeing its contents.

    I think it's good to provide more information in order to solve the problem, not limited to questions here on ASK.

    Respondents' computers are in perfect condition, so it's possible to create a simple anomaly, but not a radically lethal one.

    I do know what type of material goes where. That's why I just said that drag and drop doesn't work. Because it, in general, is not working, regardless of material type.

    When I contacted the official support, they asked me to show screenshots of some computer information and some folders. I did as instructed. Then they told me to rename the CELSYS folder in C:/Users/[USER]/AppData/Roaming/CELSYSUserData/, so that when I ran Clip Studio, the program would generate a new, "clean" folder. I did as such, and it did generate a new folder, but the drag and drop continued to not work. After I replied, informing them that it did not work, they simply never replied back. Not even a "sorry, but we cannot help you with your situation." or something like that. And I waited for weeks for any reply before giving up on the official support.

    Honestly, I'll just accept that half the reason I bought CSP just doesn't want to work.

    Then try to maintain the materials.
    Materials Maintenance
    Start [Clip Studio (Launcher)] → click the cog icon in the top-right corner, →select Maintenance Menu → perform Reset Additional Materials and Organize Materials Database.

    There is something strange about the official support guide.
    We cannot find the CELSYS folder in C:/Users/[USER]/AppData/Roaming/CELSYSUserData/.

    If you have a copy of the 30-digit serial number, you can re-enter it without any problems.

    I don't think it's related to your original drag and drop problem.

    Normally, if the behavior of the material data is strange, it should be fixed by rebuilding from the settings of CLIP STUDIO.
    Even in the worst case, even if you delete all materials and reinstall CLIP STUDIO and CLIP STUDIO PAINT from scratch, paid materials can be re-downloaded for free.
    Accounts are stored on the Celsys license server in addition to the computer you are using.
    If you have the registered e-mail address and password, the rights will be reinstated.
