Auto-recovery on mac is greyed out

I am setting up Clip Studio Paint, but when I go to the app settings, I can't enable the Auto-Recovery option, canvas recovery just appears to be greyed out and I can't click it to turn it on at all.
Also, where does the auto-recovery information get stored?
