Confused about the one time up grade

So I looked at the upgrade options I have for my Clip Pro and it said I can get the discounted one time payment option but then also adds on about the upgrade pass which is a year payment. So my question is do I only pay one time or do I have to then also pay each year for it?

1 year agoThe update plan is an annual contract that uses the latest features, so if you stop paying, you will revert to the original version.
