How to use temporary tool switch without having to hold the button?

When I hold E the tool temporarily switches to the Eraser, but I still have to hold E for it to temporarily switch.

How to set it as press E to temporarily switch, then press E to switch back? Asking because I do not want to hold.

There is also a keyboard shortcut that switches you back to any previous tool you were using. You can find it in Shortcut Settings, Setting area:Options, under Sub tool palette, it's called "Switch between current and previous sub tools". I think it's undefined by default, i bound it to / (slash).

You don't have to hold it, if you press it quickly you will switch to eraser, but then you have to press another key to switch to a drawing tool.
What you can do is set your eraser and your drawing tool shortcut to same keyboard key (E), so when you press E you will switch between those 2 tools.
