Select "Quick Mask" at the bottom of the selection menu
A quick mask selection layer is created on the canvas
If the colors displayed on the canvas are intrusive, you can hide them in the Layers palette.
Even if it is hidden, it can be used in the same way as it is displayed.
To make a selection while leaving the quick mask
Double-click the quick mask thumbnail in the layer palette
To make a selection while removing the quick mask
Select "Quick Mask" again from the selection menu
It's hard to tell that it will end
Delete the selected layer if it remains in the layer palette
If the selection is on the canvas, select "Deselect" from the selection menu.
