I have been using a pen sub tool that can only be used in black, and I need to be able to change the color of it, without having to lock the previously made lineart and color it with another tool. I think it is like this by default. Does anyone know how I can do that?

When creating a new canvas
On the top menu [File]-> New-> Settings screen, set [Basic expression color] to [Color].
Now when you create a new layer on the canvas, a color layer will be created.

When you want to change the color of the line written on the monochrome layer
Click the [Layer Color] button in the top menu [Layer] → Layer Properties → [Effect] (the line turns blue) → Click the blue box in [Layer Color] → Change color
→ If the color becomes lighter, set the "Layer Color" and "Sub Color" therapies in the layer properties to the same color.

Alternatively, in the layer properties, change [Expression color] to [Color] → In the tool palette or color circle, change [Drawing color (main color)] to your favorite color → In the upper menu [Edit], select [Line] Change color to drawing color]

There are three expression colors for layers
"Color" "Gray" "Monochrome"
For "monochrome" layers, draw only in black and white without antialiasing
In the case of "gray" layer, it can be expressed in monotone from white to black.
In the case of "color", you can draw in color
The expression color of the layer can be set in the "Layer Property" palette.

If the drawing color remains black even if the expression color of the layer is changed to color
This is because the brush tip shape of the brush you are using is a layer whose expression color is a color layer.
Change the expression color of the layer to gray
Re-register in the material palette
Please reload the newly created brush tip shape from the sub tool details.

If the expression color of the layer is color
The image as created is drawn
Create in red and draw in red
Create in blue and draw in blue
After drawing colorful flowers, draw colorful flowers
