Im using a decorative brush that has a repeating pattern and im trying to erase parts of the line, but the line restarts the pattern after erasing. I don't want this and I don't know how to stop it. Any tips or solutions?

I think the general method is to use a layer mask or paint with a transparent vector from above.
Layer masks are recommended as they are simpler and easier to fine-tune.

You may have to end up rasterizing it and then erasing it wherever needed. Or you may be able to draw a short line across the repeating brush where you intend to cut it. Then: use the vector eraser and it may cut off where you drew the line?
