It's also been suggested I try changing the numbers on the near and far planes in the object preferences, but I'm not sure what numbers to try, and just messing with the planes has not worked either.
I would appreciate any help with this. I'm sorry if the issue is unclear, I'm having trouble understanding it myself.

1 year agoIt can also be ridiculously tiny, or it can have some texture problems are register as see through. Try to center the object first and try to see if you can select it from object list, it may point you to it's location on canvas and you may get an idea of what is wrong with it.

1 year agoOP Here, I'm not sure how to (or if I can) reply to answers, but: The center button does nothing unfortunately. The tool bar just stays in the top corner and the 3D item does not appear on canvas. I don't think it's on canvas at all, because I can zoom all the way out, and the toolbar is still at the very top corner. I did try making the item bigger as well, in the item settings, but there was also no change. I'm not quite sure what Noborius meant by selecting it from the object list though.

1 year agoIn subtool palette where all 3D settings are, there is a list of items placed on 3D layer. You can select them from there and they light up on canvas.
