I'm thinking of releasing a book on Kindle, and I'd like to use a background from Clip Studio Paint for the cover. Is this possible?

13 days agoInitial materials can be used commercially, but the subject matter must be the artist's artwork.
Combinations of materials and fonts alone may violate the terms of use.

Yes, you can.
All materials posted on CLIP STUDIO ASSETS can be used for commercial purposes.
Commercial use means
using materials in works for which money or prizes are to be received.
Examples of commercial use
- Using in doujinshi sold at Comiket, etc.
- Using in works sold for download or streaming (e-books, videos, games, etc.)
- Using in works published in commercial magazines
- Using in works submitted to contests
- Using in works that will be published as comics or other publications
Materials can also be used for non-commercial purposes.
As it says above, it seems okay to use them.
