Human 3D is not available

As the title says, for some reason, when I drag a 3D person onto the canvas, Clip Studio crashes.
I tried placing a 3D shape or a 3D train onto the canvas, and they placed without any problems.
For some reason, I can't place a 3D person.
I'm using Clip Studio with version 3.0.2 on a MacBook Air.

What material specifically is meant by 3D of a person (?
    • Japanese

This is a 3D model that was added for free in version 3.0.2.
By the way, I tried unchecking [Use multisampling] on the site and changing [Edit display settings] to [Normal] in the [Tool property] palette, but it didn't work.
    • Japanese

It may be a good idea to provide the name or ID of the material.

I can't use the male or female 3D drawing doll ver2. I can't even use the one with only hands.
In fact, I think I can't use any 3D human figures at all.
    • Japanese

I didn't really understand what "3D added for free in 3.0.2" was, so I asked.
    • Japanese

I'm talking about stuff like this.
I don't remember downloading it, so I think it was just something that was added automatically when the update was done.

It's a pose material. Please read this.

    Ah, so Crystals fall.
Is it possible to summon a doll instead of a pose material?
    • Japanese

No, before I changed the pose, I was having trouble because when I put a 3D person on the canvas, Clip Studio crashed.
    • Japanese

Ah, well, dolls are also out of the question.
    • Japanese

Was it possible to use it before?
    • Japanese

Yes, I used to use Clip Studio Paint on my MacBook Pro, but that Mac broke, so I bought a MacBook Air around March of this year and installed Clip Studio Paint and logged in, but when I dragged a 3D model of a person onto the canvas, it started to crash.
    • Japanese

Does this mean that it was initially available on the MacBook Air? Or was it never available from the start?
    • Japanese

I think it was unusable from the beginning. I don't know because I used it several days after putting it in.

Did you check whether your device meets the operating environment requirements for Clip Studio before installing it?

When I bought the MacBook Air I'm using now, someone from Apple told me that I could use it with Clip Studio Paint, so it should be fine.

If possible, I would recommend uninstalling the current version, installing version 3.0.2, and checking if the 3D works without any problems in the trial version (it's a limited-function version so you can't save).

If the latest version works without any problems, it may be a compatibility issue.

    I'm already using version 3.0.2

    Sorry, it was written there.
So even upgrading from version 1 didn't solve the problem.
    Why don't you contact support?

Oh, sorry, I looked closely and found that I had it open in version 1.13.2.
So when I opened version 3.0.2, the purchase screen was displayed, so what should I do?
By the way, can I still use 3D normally in version 1.13.2 without updating?

Wouldn't it start with the EX below?
    • Japanese

Ah, if you're still on version 1, please uninstall CLIP STUDIO PAINT and Clip Studio.
    https://www.clipstudio.net/ja/dl/latest/
    This is version 3.

If you have a license for version 3, can't you authenticate by clicking "License holder" after installing version 3?
    • Japanese

I clicked on EX and it started, but it said "Trial version: some functions are not available" at the top. What can I not use?

Also, how can I use all the functions? Also, what is the difference between starting it with EX and starting it with a license?
    • Japanese

    >It says some functions are not available.

The trial version does not allow you to save, so it is good for checking the operation. After that, check the functions.
    https://support.clip-studio.com/ja-jp/faq/articles/20230081

    >How can I use all the functions again?
You need to buy a license for 3.
If you have 1, I think it is cheap and quick to apply the update plan (annual contract).
    https://support.clip-studio.com/ja-jp/faq/articles/20230085

    >What is the difference when you start it if you have a license?

The trial version label will disappear.
    All functions can be used.
    • Japanese

Is there an annual contract on this page?
    • Japanese

It's the "Update Plan" at the very bottom. This can only be applied to PCs and is valid for one year.
Although it says so, it can also be applied to version 1.
For initial contracts, it's 13 months.

Just to confirm, have you not yet signed up for version 3?
You can check your contract here.
    https://ec.clip-studio.com/ja-jp
Please do not post this screenshot.
    • Japanese

To put it simply, if you already have EX version 1, for example, and apply the update plan to that EX, you can use the latest version on at least three machines for one year.

It depends on the grade of license you have; if you have EX, you can use the latest version of EX, and if you have PRO, you can use the latest version of PRO for one year.
    EX is more expensive.
Since it's a subscription, if you're not going to use it next year, you'll need to cancel before the contract expires.
    • Japanese

For now, I think you should try the trial version of version 3 to check the operation of 3D characters and 3D drawing figures.
If you find any problems after upgrading to version 3, it may be a waste of time.
    • Japanese

When I tried the trial version, I was able to place a 3D person on the canvas without any problems.
And when I opened this site https://ec.clip-studio.com/ja-jp, it said "You are not currently subscribed to a monthly plan." At the bottom, the license you have, CLIP STUDIO PAINT PRO Ver.1.x, download, serial code, and use of the latest version were displayed.
    • Japanese

    CLIP STUDIO PAINT PRO Ver.1.x?
If you go to the update plan, you can choose CLIP STUDIO PAINT PRO Ver.3.x PRO.
If you have no problem with PRO as before, you should continue with the update plan.

① If you want to upgrade to EX, you will probably need to buy a new 3.0EX.
    Or
    ② 1.x > upgrade > 2.0PRO > upgrade > 3.0EX
    Is that right?
For details, please check the price list and calculate.
    https://www.clipstudio.net/ja/promotion/upgrade/
If you are buying 3.0 for the first time, there seems to be a sale period, so it seems like it's a good idea to aim for that.
To use 3.1 or later, you will eventually need an update plan.

By the way, the serial number of your current 1.x.x will be invalidated during the update plan, so if you are applying the update plan, you probably won't be able to do ② unless you cancel the update plan (I don't know the details), so it may be confusing.
    • Japanese

I see. So for now, the best thing to do is to choose the update plan at the bottom of this screenshot, whether it's PRO or EX?
    • Japanese

Ah, I think I'll stick with PRO.
    • Japanese

If you're using PRO, I think there's no problem selecting the update plan as long as you're on version 3.x.x.
I think you can probably use the latest version with the update plan until support for version 1 ends.
So I'm not sure about version 4 and beyond.
I'm also in my second year with the version 1 update plan.
    • Japanese

Okay. I'll go ahead and purchase the update plan.
    • Japanese

    Sorry, Usapyon.
What types of payment methods are available when purchasing an update plan?
    • Japanese

    https://support.clip-studio.com/ja-jp/faq/articles/20230085#6677c31c
It seems that you can pay by credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay (apply from your smartphone).
    • Japanese

I see, so in the end it's probably easier to pay with a credit card.
For now, I guess I should just select and purchase the PRO update plan in this image.
    • Japanese

    Yes, that's right.
Because credit cards are automatically debited, you need to make a reservation to cancel in advance (I think) if you don't want to renew the contract next time.
    • Japanese

Just to let you know, if you cancel your update plan, your license will revert to version 1 (you will only be able to use version 1).

Even if you have an update plan, you should be able to uninstall it and install a downgraded version to continue using it.
    • Japanese

So, unless I cancel the contract, 1,200 yen will be deducted from my bank account every year, right?
    • Japanese

    That's right.
Since the first month is free, there will be a delay of one month.
    • Japanese

    got it.
    thank you.
    • Japanese

I was able to purchase it without any problems and place the 3D of a person without any issues!
Thank you for all your advice!
    • Japanese

I'm glad I can use it now.
The latest version does have fewer program glitches, after all.
I learned something from this too.
    • Japanese

I don’t know, but it might be so.
