How can I snap objects onto my 3d model?

I heard from somewhere that you can snap together 3d objects (such as guns, swords, or wings) onto the 3d model, but I can't seem to figure it out. I tried going to my setting and see if it works, but I got nothing.

12 days agoIf the magnet icon in the attached image of the question is enabled, you can snap to another 3D object in the same layer.
If not, do you mean a parent-child relationship?
