12 days agoIs your license a permanent version of Ver.2.0.6 or earlier?
The update pass is a one-year limited fee to upgrade from Ver.2.0.6 to Ver.2.3.4, and is not permanent.
If your license is a permanent version of Ver.3, you do not currently need an update pass because you are not yet functional enough to use it.

Google Translate is unclear and I don't understand the meaning of the question.- Japanese

12 days agoExcuse me for jumping in.
It's hard to understand, so I think it's better not to continue with the question from the title.
1. "perpetual pass and it still won't let me use the program"
Please check everything according to the FAQ below.
> Windows/macOS: I can't start up Clip Studio Paint - Clip Studio Official Support https://support.clip-studio.com/en-us/faq/articles/20190134
2. "Do I still need to buy an update pass? "
If you don't need to use the new features, you can use ver.2.0.6 without purchasing an update pass.
3. "how do i know what version im running?"
If CSP doesn't start, you can find CSP in the Windows [Control Panel → Programs and Features] list and the version will be written there.
If it is running, you can see it in [Help → About].
4. "Also, how do i sign up for the best deal on Assets?"
Please explain in detail what you are talking about.
If you have tried all the FAQs in [1] and still cannot start CSP, scroll down the page and send your question directly to official support.

11 days agoIn short, an update pass is not a license, so you cannot save results with just an update pass.
It's a misconception because the price is cheap.
An update pass is valid for a permanent version with a one-time payment, but if you don't need the latest version's features, you don't need a lifetime update pass.
In that case, you will have paid a fee in vain. (The life of an update pass is one year from the start of use.)- Japanese
