Dragging and dropping a 3D model onto the canvas with CLIP STUDIO PAINT will freeze.

Will you wait for program response? "" Do you want to quit? "

PC is Windows 10, Corei 7, memory is 8 GB, is PC performance low?

There is nothing to freeze, but is it caused by specific materials alone?
Perhaps the graphic performance may not have reached the usage criteria for the 3D function.

I do not know the CPU, but it's a bit slow if the memory is 8MB.
(I think that it is not enough to freeze.)

3D had major changes at the time of Crista version 1.6 1.8,
Older versions of 3D can not be read or freeze with the latest Crista.
Is that 3D model a new version? Is the updater on?

Open the [File] menu -> [Preferences], select [3D]
Uncheck [Use 3D multisampling], click [OK]
Improvement was not seen even if CLIP STUDIO PAINT was restarted.

It is the same as the material update,
When you move the cursor to the material of the 3D model in the material palette, a square □ is displayed on the upper right.
When you click there, it jumps to the asset material page.
If there is new data, the guide "There is a new version" is displayed.

When a square is not displayed, I think that it is the default material, but in that case I do not think that it is an old version,
