How do I change the colour of a custom image pen?

I made a pen that REFUSES to change color no matter how hard I try, and it just stays black. I just want it to stay a solid colour but still change. Please help

1 year agoWhen registering the image of the brush tip shape, was the layer's "expression color" set to color? If you change it to gray in the layer palette and register it again, you should be able to create a brush that can change the color
