How to make it transparent

I'm drawing a manuscript of a special size, but the data I received is in jpg format.
The background is not transparent, so when I use the colorless bucket, the registration marks disappear.
Is there a way to extract the white from the manuscript and turn it colorless while leaving the registration marks?
I would appreciate it if you could let me know.

I don't know what state the jpg file is in, so this is just a temporary answer, but how about [Edit → Convert Luminance to Transparency]?

Even with the colorless bucket, you may be able to leave the registration mark lines by adjusting each item in [Tool Properties].

If you're not sure or if this doesn't apply to you, try writing from "Post an Answer" below and you may find another answer.

    Thank you.
Actually, there were some images other than the dragonfly, and when I converted them to transparency, the whole thing became a single color transparent, but I was able to come to terms with it by cutting them out and separating the layers.
    Thank you very much.
It's difficult because there's a lot I don't know, but I'm very grateful for your wisdom. Thank you very much.
