Panel Setups Are Hard

For a program that is supposed to be designed to make comics, I find it incredibly difficult to create evenly spaced panels.
When I make a large panel, why is there no option to divide that panel by 2? 3? etc?
When I create a panel division, why doesn't that division snap to a grid? ruler? anything at all?
Why does it seem like creating panels is a process of getting out a calculator and intricately mathing out the divisions, borders, etc?

Creating panels should be SIMPLE. It is the HARDEST THING. I am so incredibly frustrated by this that I'm literally out here on the app store looking for software that just makes panels despite paying for a year of this program that is for MAKING COMICS.

I realize that if I want my panels to just be arbitrary, based on some randomly placed thing, then I'm in great hands. I can put the borders anywhere and make them anything. Great. But this is useless if I just want to divide the panel exactly in half without getting out a calculator.

Maybe I am spoiled by programs like Blender, where I can use the loop cut tool to easily divide a face and choose the number of divisions with my mouse wheel?

What am I missing? I don't know where else to give feedback on this but it's driving me bananas and literally stopping me dead in my tracks every time I want to start making a page. Am I the only person who is experiencing this?

I'm not very knowledgeable about comics, but if you prepare something you can snap to, such as a grid, you can create frame borders in advance and use the selection area to align them at equal intervals (an example of doing this within the same layer folder).

The first image below shows frame borders of different sizes being created and then aligned evenly.
The second image shows one frame border being created, then the same frame border being copied and aligned.

Thank you for showing this. It is not quite what I wish existed, but it is helpful none the less at least in some circumstances. I forget that the align tools are there since they are somewhat newer.
